The Southern Jersey Cattle Club AGM has recently been held
in April where Chairman, Michael Clear, reported on the past
year plus hoping that a membership drive might encourage a
few more participants for events and the herd competition.
Two events
which members are more than welcome to attend are an Open Day
at Peter & Celia
Haynes, Meadow Cottage Farm, Headley Down, Bordon on 10th July.
It is hoped to hold the Five Counties Herd Competition again
in July in conjunction with the Thames & Isis Jersey Cattle
Club.
The 2008 AGM of the Southern Jersey Cattle Club was held on
Tuesday 22nd April 2008. 19 people attended.
A proposal was put forward to the members in attendance that
the Southern Jersey Cattle Club should put forward the name
of Charles Rogers Coltman to become the next President Elect.
The members were 100% in favour.
The Southern Jersey Cattle Club Annual Lunch was held on Wednesday
5th December 2007.
Twenty-three people attended including The President of the
Jersey Cattle Society, Don Dawes and his wife, Una and Mrs
Sheila Knight, Secretary of The South Eastern Jersey Cattle
Club.
