The Spring Gold Top Sale

The Gold Top sale has grown in stature over the years and
now attracts a lot of well bred Jerseys from all over the North
of England and Scotland.
Included in the catalogue were some
very classy individuals with super pedigrees from a variety
of vendors.
The top price of 1,420gns was for Calthwaite Barbers
Luita, one of several animals from the Lanarkshire breeder
Robert Hunter (Clydevalley Jerseys). Recently fresh in her
2nd lactation and giving 31.2kgs, she heads north to an undisclosed
breeder.
Robert Hunter claimed the three top prices of the sale with
the second top price of 1,100gns for Clydevalley Centurion
Perhaps. This stylish in calf heifer bred to Lester Sambo was
sold to the Kerbanks Partnership, Bolton Low Houses, Wigtown.
PH Montgomery & Son, Drumglass, Croy, Kilslythe, Glasgow
snapped up Tixall Blazes Casino for 1,050gns.
Ravenfield Gem 3 brought 1,000gns for Ravenfield Jerseys (Mr
Heath), Aldbrough, Hull. Messrs Thomlinson & Son, Bolton
Parks, Mealsgate, Carlisle takes home this recently fresh heifer
by
Piedmont Mr Breeze.
Farlams Adas Connie, a fresh heifer by Conhess Index Bluemoon,
consigned by J Thompson & Son, Farlam Hill, Brampton, Cumbria,
realised 920gns. She now enters the herd of Mr Halliwell, Keysmount,
Blackford, Carlisle.
