WARNINGLIDGOLD JERSEYS TOPPED AT 720GNS
21st September 2004

A super herd of fully organic Jerseys were dispersed on 21st September 2004 at Beeston Castle Auction, Cheshire, the property of Mr Gayne Cooper from Warninglid, West Sussex and removed to Beeston for sale convenience.

The herd was established back in 1999, and based on imports from Denmark and since then the herd has been virtually a closed herd. This was a tremendous herd of young capacious cows.

This herd full of real natural milking cows topped at 720gns for a fresh calved cow with an awesome udder, this great young cow was purchased by Mrs J M Griffiths, Nantwich.

The next top price of the day was Warninglidgold Trac Charity for a real tall, dairy 3rd calver, sired by Fyn Lemvig and due to calve again in April. This lovely cow was taken home by D P Manning & Co from Minsterley.

A super 2nd calver, Warninglidgold Lemvig Suzy 2nd, due in January to Dutch Hollow Berretas Option was purchased by G.F & M Wallace for their Grahmar herd at Goostrey.

Plenty of local buyers in attendance, and buyers from further a field from, Scotland to Devon present. Volume buyers in attendance Messrs J Martin from Rothesay, Isle of Bute took 39 home with them. I A Newton from Middlewich went away with 14.

Averages
158 Milking cows and Heifers £440.20
