The 23rd Gold Top Show and Sale of pedigree Jerseys at Borderway
on Wednesday 24th August 2005 was, as predicted, fantastic trade
for the small selection that was on offer. Mr John Waller, Hall
Beck, Killington, Kirkby Lonsdale tapped forward the champions
of the day.
The top price of the day was Danish Du Drambo Crowberry, the
Reserve Champion of the show. Consigned by John & Carol
McIlwraith, Balig Farm, Dunoon, By Ayr, this Bambro daughter
in her third lactation sold for 2,500gns to Mr Robert Graham,
Airthrey Kerse, Stirling. Dunure Jerseys also claimed the Champion
title with a Q Handix daughter in her second lactation.
J Thompson & Sons of Farlam Jerseys, Brampton, consigned
Farlam Danish Ena, the second top price of 1,150gns. This in-calf
heifer with unbelievable production of fat and protein was
sold to the Judge Mr John Waller, Hall Beck, Kirkby Lonsdale.

Baileys Farms, Crook-O-Lune, Howgill, Kendal, purchased Grahmar
Ivanhoe Dusty for 1,020gns. This Liddimore Lemvig Ivanhoe heifer
was due in November to Mollybrook Fusion and was consigned
by Mr David Gray, Grayridge Jerseys, East Kilbride.
Kerbanks Partnership sold a recently calved Liddimore Lemvig
Ivanhoe daughter for 1,020gns to JR Heuchan & Son, Gerranton,
Castle Douglas. Also at 1,000gns was Shellen Progress Dolly
consigned by T Savage & S Fleming, Laitha Farm, Appleby
and sold also to Baileys Farms, Crook O Lune, Howgill, Kendal.
