Record entry attracts buyers to Beeston’s June mid month sale in droves

YOUNG STOCK
This section was dominated by and a small consignment of Pedigree Jerseys from James Brady of Gnosall who is emigrating to New Zealand  all of which were bred in the Burnbrae herd.  They sold to a top of £1450 for an outstanding show calf born in September last year by Rock Ella Remake;  Burnbrae Remake Yvyonne is out of a Tixall bred dam and sold jointly to Graham Wallace of Grahmar Jerseys,  Goostrey and Wendy Young of Clippaholics of York.

The same vendor sold Burnbrae Sultan Cuddle the first prize in-calf heifer at this month’s Stafford Show and due to calve in February of next year.  She was purchased by GH Morgan of Goodwick, Pembrokeshire.

The same purchaser also acquired the November calving Burnbrae Remake Stardust for £920. Served Heifers sold to £780 from the Ufton herd for a daughter of Henkeseen Hillcrest whilst other in-calf heifers from Messrs Pugh sold to £810.
