Lakes Counties Jersey Cattle Club Sale
Wednesday 20th August 2008
The August Pedigree All Breeds Dairy show and sale on Wednesday
20th August 2008 comprised a great variety of Holstein, Jersey
and Ayrshire young cows and heifers.
An understandable caution among the buyers, owing to the weather
and feed cost in particular meant that the trade was not quite
as brisk as the last couple of club sales. Having said every
animal was sold, with vendors being sensible with their expectations.

Amongst the Jerseys were two 2000gn animals, both from Messrs
Hunters well respected Clydevalley herd. One was a glorius
uddered second calf daughter of Lester Sambo, from the Leaf
family that excels in production, components and longevity
joining Messrs Watson & Son, Moorhouse Farm, Wigton. The
other was very fresh heifer by Family Hill Ringmaster, and
from the Candarel family, who now joins the herd of TA Jackson,
Guillyhill, Holywood, Dumfries.
