Tuesday 4th August 2009
On Tuesday 4th August 2009, Jersey breeders from all
over the UK and Ireland attended the dispersal sale of
the Croftlands herd at Seaville Farm, Silloth in Cumbria.
The herd was owned by Norman and Colin Hughes who over
a life time of dedicated breeding had developed a tremendous
Jersey herd. Milk production combined with high butterfat
and protein percentages had been one of the main objectives
of the breeding programme at Croftlands; however the
confirmation was impressive with many cows and heifers
