Beeston Kaleidoscope Sale
A very good crowd and whole host of potential buyers
were in attendance at Beeston Castle Auction for the
Annual ‘Autumn Colours’ Sale. The sale was
further enhanced by the introduction of a section for
high class individuals with classy pedigrees and has
been marketed under the name ‘Kaleidoscope of Colour’.
KALEIDOSCOPE OF COLOUR
A total entry of 19 females were received for this sale
representing all four major coloured breeds. The quality
it has to be said was very high and there were many outstanding
individuals forward.
The top Jersey seller was the seven month old Jersey
calf Grahmar Connection Virtue, an outstanding heifer
by Giprat Belle’s Connection out of an EX93-2E
dam from Graham Wallace of Goostrey Cheshire. This was
an outstanding calf and was purchased by the Northern
Crusaders Syndicate of Yorkshire.
AUTUMN COLOURS SALE
Two of the best were exhibited by Tom Savage and Sheila
Fleming of Bolton Appleby, Cumbria who gained the first
and second prizes in the Jersey in-milk heifer class
and also the top two prices. The top being 1950 gns for
their Shellen Senior Xavier a two year old fresh calved
daughter of Pine Haven Senior out of a (GP84-2yr) dam
by SHF Centurion Sultan. She was purchased by Mitchell
Oldershaw of Lockington, Derbyshire. They also sold Shellen
Senior Thistle, by the same sire for 1500 gns to Newton & Shaw
of Byley, Middlewich.
Served heifers sold for 700 gns on five occasions.,
