Jerseys take the limelight at Noremead Celebration Sale

with the guest consignment from their Bluegrass herd
at the Open day and Sale of youngstock at the celebrated
Noremead herd of C.B.Cooper & Partners
in Wiltshire, which last year won the Holstein UK Premier
Pedigree Herd Competition.
A good crowd of enthusiastic
dairy farmers and pedigree breeders attended the consignment
of Jerseys created quite a feature.

Seven heifers with
deep pedigrees from the heart of this outstanding, prizewinning
herd were forward, selling to 3,000gn paid by Wendy Brassington
(Heavenly) for the broken coloured yearling Bluegrass
Signatures Lady Prancer, bred from four generations of
Excellent cows from one of the best families.
Sally and
Lucy Parfitt (Myway) Somerset, purchased two super in
calf heifers at 2,600 and 2,100gn.
Bluegrass Sergeants
Snowqueen, that won several prizes as a calf last year
was sold for 2,550gn to Mark Davis (Rivermead)
Noremead
herd managers Jeff and Anthea Daw own some Jerseys of
their own under the Jubilee prefix and sold a Bridon
Excitation daughter out of their prizewinning Sowden
Juno Ceres 2 for 1,800gn to a joint purchase between
James Evans (Futuredreams) and Alex Hurd from Tavistock.
