Milkers were the flavour of the day and certainly at the top of the shopping list by buyers who were eager to secure the right type of animal which was milking well and showing all of the right credentials. 32 different buyers were recorded.

The Jersey section of the catalogue had some wonderful animals consigned and offered buyers plenty of choice and quality; the headline was a tremendous Jersey from Judith Waring for a heifer by Rapid Bay Reagan ET, Cherryview Reagan Totem she calved on the 9th February and sold for 1850gns to M H Richardson from Doncaster.

The next price was 1600gns this was for Ravenfield Milkys Springtime, from Ravenfield Jerseys who was dispersing their entire milking portion many of which were show cows and super brood cows. Richard Saxby sold a great heifer with lots of style; Saxown Excite Patsy 4 calved in March and was purchased by B C Patten of Nantwich. A good group of heifers consigned from G M & D J Pye sold to 1450gns.

In calf Heifers sold to 1020gns for a lovely heifer from the Ravenfield Dispersal sale. Maiden heifers were a great trade and demand was high, a really sweet calf Bar-M Roxy 256th sold for 500gns to J Jolly, Stoke on Trent, who also purchased another lot at the same price from the same stable Bar-M Jerseys.
