Asgood Flyer Fancy 2 EX91 wins Jersey production awards
Asgood Flyer Fancy 2 EX91, owned by Lloyd Picton-Davies and
his daughter, Amelia, from the Asgood herd, St Clears, collected
four of the UK Jersey Society’s production awards at
the Welsh Dairy Show.

The presentation of the awards caps the past achievements of
Flyer 2 at the Welsh Dairy Show where she was Inter-breed Heifer
Champion in 2004, and 1st Prize 2nd lactation Jersey Cow in
2005.
The Championship Cup for the best total yield of butterfat
plus protein was claimed with a staggering output of 1350kg
in the lactation.
The Wheldon Memorial Trophy is for the highest combined weight
of fat + protein in three successive lactations – Fancy
2 produced 3166kg.
The Foxbury Cup is for the Jersey, Classified Excellent, with
the highest weight of fat + protein in a lactation completed
in 2007 – Fancy 2 produced 1350kg.
The John Ibbotson Memorial Trophy is for the Jersey, Classified
Excellent, with the highest milk yield in the year – Fancy
2 yielded 11988kg.
Fancy 2 was born in April 2002, sired by Molly Brook Berretta
Flyer and out of Penymalt Fancy.
In her three award-winning lactations, Fancy’s calving
index slipped by a mere 30 days in total, despite yielding
29706kg milk at 6.60% butterfat and 4.05% protein.
